Rules and Regulations: Training/Fighting

TRAINING/FIGHTING

1. Stats

There are 6 types of stats available to a shinigami:

攻撃力: Offensive Powers
防御力: Defensive Powers
機動力: Mobility
鬼道・霊圧: Kidou and Reiatsu: Demon Arts and Spiritual Pressure
知力: Intelligence
体力: Body Power

You can train these stats by going to certain places and stating that you are training. You can RELAX because there is no CRAZY HARD system to master. All you have to know is the maximum power.

Captains - 2500
Lieutenants - 2000
3rd Seat - 1500
4th Seat - 1400
5th Seat - 1300
6 - 20th Seats - 1200

That is the maximum number of points available for anyone. Everybody starts out with a certain number of points (refer to Ranks forums). Then, everyday, you can earn a maximum of 50 stat points. By 'everyday', I mean '24 hours'.

Every time you are at a training place, you will earn 10 points in the stat available for training. For example, I can teach at the Demon Arts Institute all day and get 30 points of Intelligence (all I have to do is say that I want to earn 30 points). WAIT. Don't hit that 'back' button yet.

Who keeps track of these seemingly complicated points? I do (sort of). So relax. All changes in your stat points will be handled by yours truly. All you have to do, when you want to train, is get your character to talk.

Every week, stat points will be updated in the Zero Division Royal Guards, as long as the Weekly Division Paperwork arrives to me in time. That's some incentive to do that paperwork!

2. Skills/Battle

There are specific skills for specific divisions. Mostly, they are similar skills, but just need some stat points to make them work. The types of skills are:

魂葬: Konso
Healing
歩法: Hoho
白打: Hand-to-hand Combat
斬術: Zanjutsu
鬼道: Kido
ヴァイザード: Vaizard

A detailed list is written in the Skills forum.

Powers are the strength of a shinigami, depending on their division and their stat points. These powers can be used to use a skill. A certain amount of stat points are required to create 1 power. The amount and type of stat points depends completely on the Division and rank of the shinigami. For example:

*This is a very inaccurate example.

- 2nd division Seated Officers can use 4 mobility stat points to make 1 power.
- A member may be able to make 4 powers, using 16 mobility points.
- He/she may be able to use 2 powers for flash steps, and then 2 for kidou.
- He/she unleashes 6 damage.
- The hollow, being able to take only 6 damage, explodes.

Powers cannot be replenished during a battle. If you have enough stat points to make only 3 powers, then that's all you get for that battle.

There will be power charts for each Division, which will indicate how many stat points you need to make 1 power. There is also a stat point chart for the stat points that a rank begins off with for each Division. It is recommended that you keep charts that suit your character in your signatures or saved for quick reference.

Oh, and I used 'kidou' for the sake of simplicity, but there will actually be a list of spells and their respective damages. There will be a kidou guide in every avilable kidou training spot, so feel free to look them up. I don't want to be evil, but here's the thing. If you manage to, perhaps, copy and paste the incantations on, then you will have the full effects of that kidou spell. If you only say the spell's name and number, then you will only have half the effects.

Let's face it: What makes something complicated is the health bar. As complicated as the skill seems, the health bar is the problem. The subtraction and whatnot makes the game so long and difficult. So let's not do health bars.

I will say this simply: for every hollow or opponent, there's a certain damage that he has to take to die. I don't care if two shinigami work together to bust an enemy. But if they fail to produce enough damage, they will 'die'. It won't matter whether or not a shinigami causes 5 damage or 9 damage to a hollow that can only take 17 damage. The bottomline is that the shinigami will die.

The dead shinigami will only be allowed to post on the Hell Butterfly thread. Hopefully, some 13th division guys check on you and send a 4th division person over. If not, the dead shinigami is stuck in the location where he/she died.

The battle process should be charted in this way, and this should be posted as actions to a battle. A copy should also be made for your own reference for when the Mission Report is filled out:

1. List your stat points
2. List the powers produced e.g. 4 MOB x 4 = 4 Power
3. List the skills used e.g. 2 power - Flash Step (x2 damage)
2 power - Kidou (3 damage)
4. List the damage given e.g. 6 Damage
5. If you are in a team, wait until your comrades post their actions. If you have terminated the hollow before they could, just skip to the next step.
5. Did you terminate the hollow?

If you have terminated the hollow/opponent, state in LARGE letters, 'TERMINATED'. Then make sure to report in the Hell Butterfly that you have accomplished the mission.

Once you come back to Soul Society, the leader of the group of shinigami who finished the mission fills out the Mission Report, and hands it into the Lieutenant. The Lieutenant then hands it into the Captain, and then stores it in the Reports Room of their Division.

Once (a) shinigami(s) win some sort of battle, he/she/they is/are given 2 points to add to their stats, however they wish. This must be reported to a superior officer in charge of that, of course.

Wow, that was so simple! I could make it more complex, but that's for your Captain to tell me in the Captains' Meeting.

MISSION

1. Assignment

The 13th Division, mainly, are the Communication guys. They check Hell Butterflies, the worlds, and Central 46 Orders. If there are hollows/arrancars sighted, or a new Order (refer to Order below) is issued, they will alert the Divisions Missions Board. Captains, upon Reviewing the Divisions Board, can claim any mission, as long as they are fit. For example, 2nd division may be more inclined to take an assassination mission. Regardless, there are plenty of missions and opportunities for the Captains.

The Captains, once they claim a mission, can assign the missions to any number of officers in their Division. This has to be made clear in the Missions Board in the Division houses. Should he assign the mission to a group of officers, a leader for the group must be chosen. The members to which the missions are assigned must state that they have understood by replying with a post. Only then can the mission proceed.

2. Hell Butterfly/Communication Device

All shinigami carry a communication device or hell butterfly in a mission. It can be easily used by the Communications Device or Hell Butterfly forums in the location that you are in. When (and only when) you are in a mission, you can request backup, report your 'death', and so on. You don't have to put in 'LEFT' or anything, since it's like a walkie-talkie. A member of 13th division, most likely, will answer you. You can request for a few more days in the Human World, etc.

To use the Communication Device or Hell Butterfly, you must state your name, rank, and Division. Then you must state your location and message. You can check rules on the respective forums.

The 13th Division member will 'connect' you by putting your request on the Divisions Boards (in the case of a Rescue or Support mission), or directly to a person. It really depends on what you use the device for.

3. Missions

There are different, yet simple, types of missions:

- Hollow Dispatch
- Konso
- Medicine
- Simple
- Rescue
- Support
- Assassination
- Retrieve
- Kido

- Long-term
- Short-term

Hollow dispatch missions are self-explanatory. Hollows are exterminated, and if they happen to be present in the Human World, then the Kido Corps must be employed to open a gateway. That should do wonders for your Division's budget. Also, Human World hollow dispatch missions are often long-term, meaning that it will last more than one day. That means that those lucky shinigami will receive gigai (I know you guys have bodies but those are halfway across the globe) and you will get to waste some more of your Division budget. But the point is that there are great training and shopping opportunities in the Human world. So make sure to sign up for the often life-threatening but awesome opportunities to head to Earth.

Konso missions often accompany Hollow dispatch missions. Shinigami simply have to perform the skill of Konso to innocent spirits of Earth. Again, there's some budget slashing. Unfortunately, these are often short-term, meaning that they last for one day. 24 hours are all you have to enjoy Earth with this mission.

Medicine missions often accompany Rescue missions. They are only for the 4th Division officers. These missions occur when shinigamis fail to take down a hollow and end up dead. While officers of the Rescue mission defeat it, the Medicine officers use their powers to heal the dead using their Medicine/healing skill.

Simple missions are dead simple. Captains just need to assign their officers to certain spots, or perhaps the lieutenant can do so. They are usually things to do with security, support, defense, and even sending messages throughout the worlds. They may be long-term or short-term.

Rescue missions are accompanied by Medicine missions. They are assigned to continue failed missions, and if they fail too, then.. clearly, their Captain hasn't trained them well enough. Notice that the faults of a Division fall on the Captain. As powerful as he/she may be, it is the Captain who is the most responsible, as well. That is, of course, unless the lieutenant is kind enough to save his/her sorry butt.

Support missions are very special missions. When a shinigami calls for backup, shinigami members can accept the Support mission (after their Captain accepts it, of course) and arrive at the shinigami's place to provide assisstance. However, the Support has to arrive within 4 hours since it has been called for (with response from the Kido Corps in the case of a Human World backup, and all that shabang).

Retrieve missions are usually accompanied by Assassination missions, and vice versa. These missions are rather interesting, because the Central 46 may be lunatic enough to KILL ANY OF YOU. This is the unpredictable reality. Can you fight back? I have no idea. Have you made enough friends who will fight with you? Are you Captain-level? Your decisions may save you. You may have had no idea that an innocent pack of Soul Candy had the King's Seal inside it.

In the case of an Assassination mission, the victimized shinigami may be given a certain amount of damage that he can consume (damage bar), similar to a hollow battle. However, the shinigami will have 24 hours or so to recruit enough of his/her buddies to fight back. Then, the Assassination forces will be hitting you, who will not only have your own 'damage bar', but also the 'damage bar' of your buddies to protect you. Perhaps you will survive. Perhaps you won't. Most likely, you will be OWNED by 2nd division. But that depends on how many captains you entertained in the last Christmas party, right?

Who determines the damage bar of a shinigami, you say? Me. I sure hope you have been handing in paperwork on time. I don't like late work.

Kido missions accompany nearly every mission. Kido Corps open the senkaimon, the gateway to Earth/Soul Society. It is also them who sets up that ridicuously expensive but helpful Spiritual Barriers. If you think that a single mission involves only one division, you are wrong.

IMPORTANT: Notice that missions may involve each other missions. When a mission requires access to Earth, then the mission cannot proceed until the Kido Corps arrives at the right place and physically opens up a Senkaimon. The same goes spiritual barriers, etc. Similar situations may happen with Retrieve missions, etc.

4. Missions Report

As stated already, the leader of the group of shinigami who finished a mission fills out the Mission Report. You better do it well, too, if you don't want to get beaten up by your lieutenant, who has to organize a final copy of it in the end. Did I mention that your stat points are also on the line?

Check out the format of a Missions Report in the Reports forum.

REMAINING INFORMATION

1. Kido Corps
This is an organization that can be running on its own, or with Gotei 13. A shinigami without a rank, for example, can sign up to be the captain of the Kido Corps. A captain, if he/she has enough time, can take the job of a Kido Corps officer. Any shinigami can sign up for Kido Corps, really. The only problem is that you need plentiful Kidou, and not all divisions might be Kidou-focused. I mean, have you SEEN the power chart for Kido Corps?

Check for much more information in the Divisions forums.

2. Secret Mobility Stealth Force

These guys can wipe you out with Jackie Chan moves. Unfortunately, this force belongs to the 2nd division. However, while the Captain to the 5th Seat hold the same ranks in the Stealth Force, the rest of the seats can belong to any shinigami, even ones without a rank at all. Just watch out for your Mobility points, because you will need lots and lots of it. And I mean LOTS. It's recommended for 2nd Division members.

Check for much more information in the Divisions forums.

3. Dividing the Work

I'm sure you're wondering the following questions: Who fills out all those reports? Who does the missions? Does the Captain keep track of who is doing what? Is there a good system that is keeping track of all this, that is going on? If there is such a system, what is it?

Well, I can sort of answer that, and then I can't. I don't know. All I know is that these things have to be DONE. It is up the captain who he decides to leave something to. It is up to the Captain to decide the 'system'. It is up to the Captain to leave it to someone to decide the system. The best answer that I can give you is that this is an Army force. This is reality. Whatever we need, we have to work it out together as a team; as the great Gotei 13 that we are. No government is easy to build. Your Captain, with leadership, will decide everything, and when the responsibilities drag him down, he will be the one to give some of that responsibility to his men. It will even be up to him to decide whether or not he wants to dump all that responsibility to the lieutenant.

4. Am I missing something?

If I'm missing something, let me know. Darn... I keep thinking that I'm forgetting something. Anyway, that's it.

Have fun, and get ready to FREE YOURSELF.
