Communications and Specialized Hollow Dispatch

Don't let the fancy surveillance systems of the 12th Division fool you. The 13th Division is the communication headquarters of Gotei 13 and specialized units of shinigami for the destruction of hollows with unnatural abilities. Although the 13th Division has a long history as the communications division, specialized hollow dispatch units were created ever since the appearance of odd hollows by what most know now are Aizen's deformed experiments. Though originally starting out as a Specialized Corps in Gotei 13, specialized hollow dispatch merged into the 13th Division's duties in memory of Shiba Kaien. (If there is a Shiba Kaien reading this, I am truly sorry and the last bit may be ignored.)

The members of this Division are awarded with lengthy missions on Earth as the number of odd hollows are increasing. Due to missions regarding communications and also as emergency support at times, members of the 13th Division play vital roles on both the Earth and Soul Society. There are high chances of running into a highly spiritual human being who could potentially get you out of an execution, and the perks are great in 13th Division, if you are a fan of the past and the living world that you just can't let go.

So grab a Communication Device and cross over to the Human World. Close your eyes, stand atop a tower, and, surrounded by the glistening city lights of the living, feel the moonlight upon yourself as you used to when you were alive. Live the complete shinigami experience.

If you would like nothing more than challenging missions with unique reward items, and have always wanted a pet Hell Butterfly to take care of, 13th Division calls your name. Being shinigami isn't always about the suffocating standards and limits of Gotei 13; it's about living the beauty in death.

4. Divisional Duties

A. Hollow Dispatch Missions

Some hollow dispatch missions are specialized for the 13th Division, and some seemingly ordinary missions even turn into odd hollow missions, in which case the 13th Division must kick in. Make sure to be on the look out.

B. Communications

Check the Training/Fighting thread in the Rules and Regulations for detailed instructions about Communications.

Briefly, though, the 13th Division members are to check all Communication Devices and Hell Butterflies in all the worlds, without having to open a Senkaimon. They are also welcome to respond to these means of communication, though nothing else is allowed in the world that they didn't cross over with a Senkaimon. Then, dependning on the message in the Communication Devices or Hell Butterflies, they are welcome to post new missions on Announcement Boards or deliver messages via the Mail Box.
