Scientific Research and Technological Development

If you start getting a geeky picture right away, consider Urahara and Nemu for a brief moment.

The 12th Division is for the scientists, the inventors, and the brain of Gotei 13. They are not to be confused with the 8th Division, however. While they may not concern themselves with the pointless strategies of battle and the tactics of brainless wars, they are all equally gifted with extraordinary intelligence and unparalleled devotion to science. Everything from gigais to communication devices are creations of these genii, designed, produced, packed, and distributed. Why get your hands dirty, defying physics with supernatural zanpakuto and the like, when you can just nuke Hueco Mundo altogether? (They are working on this as you are reading this.)

So the next time you pop a Soul Candy in your mouth, stop and think about the 12th Division. These guys probably designed it with little effort, given their prodigious minds... but the point is that they should be appreciated.

You are welcome whole-heartedly to the 12th Division, as long as you can explain the synthetic creation of a gigai with paranormal chemistry, molecular physics, and a dash of human physiology in 6000 words, plus or minus 200 words.

4. Divisional Duties

A. Sereitei Training

I expect the Sereitei training grounds to be used the most. Thus, who else but the 12th Division members could be smart enough to keep track of all this Sereitei training? Congratulations, 12th Division: You guys get to fill out Training Reports for Sereitei training!

B. Inventions

Don't think that the 12th Division is in charge of technological development for nothing. You guys are be the inventors of Gotei 13. If you want to suggest new weaponry (nukes...), items, and equipments, bring your ideas to the next Captains' Meeting! If any of your friends have interesting ideas, make sure that they get noted by a 12th Division member. Refer to the 8th Division for a similar idea to this.
